Internet Marketing

I started into the world of online marketing in 1998.

I remember the intense reaction I had to my first online sale.

I had been a sales and marketing manager for a national company that sold merchant accounts to businesses, and while working for them I started a side business representing a line of liquid supplements that I was buying direct from the manufacturer.

I thought that if I could get my own merchant account, get this product online and see if I could sell it, that would really fun. After all, the internet is like a non-sleeping 24/7 full time sales rep.

I puchased a domain name, started a company, opened a bank account, and voila, I’m official! I took a picture of the little bottle of liquid happiness, created the most ugly website ever in Dreamweaver and uploaded all the info. I got declined by the merchant account provider that I worked for, (too much risk) and wound up getting a merchant account from The First Bank of Beverly Hills. Hooked everything up to Authorize.net and went live.

Fifteen minutes later, to my surprise I had a sale. The rush of that moment still is with me after 18 years. It was one of my happiest business moments.

Fast forward to the present time.

I’ve started two companies that I currently manage.

M-Powered Marketing Solutions LLC is my small online marketing agency where we provide a wide array of online services that include:

  • Local Business Lead Generation
  • Website Hosting
  • WordPress Website Design
  • SEO
  • Analytic Call Tracking
  • Video Sales Pages and Funnels
  • Facebook Advertising and Targeting

I am happy to say that I REALLY enjoy this work, and the value that I bring to the people that I work with.

Of course that brings me to my other company and how the two work together.

My initial venture into the world of nutritional supplements was due to some research I had done to help a family member with some health challenges.

I had found this little bottle of liquid wonderfulness, and put it online. The joy of helping one person (and ultimately many many others) with their quality of life in relationship to good supplementation was palpable. I enjoyed being in that business, and still do.

With that in mind, we created M-Powered Health LLC. Our company exclusively carries our own brand of Nutritional Supplements called LifEnrich. Currently we are focused on using the things that we have learned in our small agency on our own products.

And, if you are wondering what products those might be, well, good question…

We initially started out with five products, which are currently shown on the Lifenrich website.

  • Sugar Guard – Healthy Glucose Levels
  • Joint Guard – Healthy Joints
  • Pea and Rice Protein – Energy and Strength
  • Daily Cleanse – Maintain a Healthy Colon
  • Berry Greens – Fantastic Greens Drink

After our initial market testing, we have decided to discontinue Joint Guard, Sugar Guard and the Pea and Rice Protein. We are sticking with our Berry Greens and Daily Cleanse. It looks like we have some real winners there, so we are building out the distribution channels for these two for now. Looking to add more products in the future.

With LifEnrich it was the first time I had ever created a “brand” and took it from an un-named formulation, creating a label, website, social media presence, and into the offline markets. It has been such a learning experience! I can truly say that I have learned so much, but there is so much more.

The reason for having my own little corner of the internet here, is to share what I have learned, and perhaps you may benefit from my years of experience doing what I do.
